There is no specific CE requirement related to the immunization privilege indicated in NYS regulation or law.
Note: Your immunization certification privilege is renewed at each license registration renewal. At that time, you are confirming that you are maintaining the competencies required to provide pharmacy services allowed by NYS law. This includes completing continuing education courses on the topic and maintaining certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
Pharmacists certified in administering immunizations in NYS may determine the coursework, etc. related to immunization administration practice and the amount necessary to maintain competency, at their own discretion.
The 9th amendment to the COVID-19 HHS PREP Act Declaration provides limited liability protection to and expands the scope of authority for state-licensed and trained pharmacists to order and administer select COVID-19 therapeutics. This amendment is effective as of September 14, 2021, and preempts state law that would otherwise prohibit pharmacists from administering COVID-19 therapeutics. Focusing on the administration of these agents the following criteria must be met:
- The COVID-19 therapeutic must be authorized, approved, and licensed, by the FDA
- The COVID-19 therapeutic must be administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or orally
- The qualified person (pharmacist or pharmacy intern) administering the COVID-19 therapeutic must complete a practical training program that approved by the ACPE. This training must include:
- hands-on injection technique,
- clinical evaluation of indications and contraindications of COVID-19 therapeutics
- the recognition and treatment of emergency reactions to COVID-19 therapeutics, and
- any additional training required in the FDA approval, authorization, clearance, or licensing
- also a current certificate in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Must comply with administration recordkeeping and reporting requirements, including reporting adverse events, and informing the patient’s primary care provider, when available.
- Must comply with any applicable requirements or conditions of use that apply to the administration of COVID-19 therapeutics.

ACPHS Learning Management System
The ACPHS Learning Management System (LMS) manages all phases of the continuing education program - from registration through completion of evaluations - with secure, hosted software.
Our LMS provides program participants with the ability to create and manage their own accounts, complete activities, and print certificates of attendance.
Note: All ACPHS program participants must create a personal LMS account.
In order to create a personal LMS account, you will need your NABP #, your MM/DD of birth, and the name and address of your practice site if you are a preceptor.
You will then be able to register, receive your handouts, and complete program evaluations and learning assessments all in one place. As soon as you have completed all activity requirements, your credits will automatically be submitted to CPE Monitor.
To establish your account ...

Registration and Handout Policy
Program registrations are now being accepted through the ACPHS Learning Management System only, and on-site registrations will no longer be accepted.
Speaker handouts and Zoom Meeting link will be e-mailed prior to the date of the Continuing Pharmacy Education Activity that you registered to attend. All participants are welcome to bring their laptops or tablets and use the College's guest wireless network to view the speaker handouts. We will no longer have printed copies available at registration.
CPE Monitor and Statements of Credit
CPE Monitor is a national, collaborative effort by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) to provide an electronic system for pharmacists to keep track of their completed continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits.
It also offers state boards of pharmacy the opportunity to electronically authenticate the CPE units completed by their licensees rather than requiring submission of proof of statements of credit upon request or completing random audits.
ACPE policy states that paper and/or electronic statements of credit are no longer required to be distributed directly to learners as proof of ACPE credit. This official record of credit is located on the learner's e-profile in CPE Monitor. Printed copies of statements will no longer be distributed by Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
LIVE ONLINE WEBINARS
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is pleased to launch online, live broadcasting of continuing pharmacy educational activities. Attendees who register for remote viewing will receive a link to attend the program using their computer, tablet, or phone, along with instructions to access Zoom Meeting. You will be able to listen to the speakers and view the educational materials and respond to polling questions. In order to qualify as a live activity, questions may be posed to the presenters.
